Welcome to the world of

On this site is where I show off my little "egg carton creatures". But let me explain how I got started making them in the first place. A few years ago I was watching a craft show and saw this gentleman explaining how he made little mice using egg cartons.
I got fascinated with them so I went to his website and what I found was really interesting. Mr. Reece had put together all these intricate figures of famous people and baseball players using egg cartons and the little mouse was the simplest of them. He sold pre-cut kits so I ordered one and put it together and I was hooked. It was so cute I just had to make some more. I came up with the name "mousecots" when I thought of them as being little mascots.

Well it was right around Christmas time and I thought these would make perfect little gifts for my co-workers. I worked for a magazine publisher and all the computers we used were Apples (Macintosh) so I took a picture of a keyboard and printed it out. I put the mouse together and placed an Apple logo that I made using a spare piece of egg carton in its hand, and glued the mouse on the picture of the keyboard.
I made four of them which went to the computer gurus and then I made another five with the mouse holding a little gift which I gave to others in the department. Everyone loved them and they still had them on their desks when I retired. There were other kits so I made a butterfly, a pig, a duck, an owl, a bear and a bee. Of all, the mouse is my favorite and since then I have expanded on what I do with them as you will see on the following pages. Keep in mind that all are unique and original, and I guarantee you will not find another one like it anywhere in world!!!

I do not make these for sale - they are only made if I can get a feel for the person and then I present it to them in a plastic box so it can be proudly displayed. I would love to hear from you and let me know what you think of my little creations and suggest any others you think I should make. I hope you enjoy viewing them as much as I enjoy creating them. If you click on each picture it will enlarge so you can see the detail.
